Disneyland’s Candlelight Ceremony and Processional
December 1-20, 2012 (5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.)
This holiday season – for the first time in its history - the Candlelight Ceremony and Processional is being extended to a total of 20 nights at Disneyland park, with two performances each night. The first two nights, December 1-2, will be invitation-only events*; however, seats at performances from December 3-20 have been reserved Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders. Taking place in Town Square on Main Street U.S.A., this Disneyland tradition features a full Orchestra, Christmas Tree Chorus performing renditions of traditional Christmas songs and a retelling of the Christmas Story narrated by a different celebrity during select nights. In previous years, seating was reserved for invited guests. If Annual Passholders are given seats for Candlelight Ceremony and Processionals running from December 3 - 20 in the roped off area normally reserved for invited guests, Disneyland visitors may still be able to find standing room in a small, roped-off area generally reserved for the public. In the past, parkgoers could also view the procession of choir members along the parade route, beginning near “it’s a small world” and continuing down Main Street prior to the first show. Prior to the second ceremony, choir members typically parade only on Main Street. Dining packages will not be offered this year for Disneyland’s Candlelight Processionals!
Important Update: Beginning November 12, Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders can enter an online sweepstakes for an opportunity to view a performance of the Candlelight Ceremony and Processional. Passholders can select up to 4 seats total for any of the two nightly showings on various days that the event is held. Entry period will close at 11:59 p.m. (PST) Sunday, November 18, 2012 and entrants will be notified by email on or around November 26, 2012 as to the status of their entry.2012 Scheduled Candlelight Narrators:
